Gary has been an FAA Certified Commercial Hot Air Balloon Pilot since 1992, accumulating over 2,200 hours of lighter-than-air flight experience in that time.  In the years since achieving his rating, he has flown in more than 40 U.S. states and 24 countries, including the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, Belgium, France, India, Netherlands, Poland, Germany, Canada, Mexico, China, United Kingdom, Italy, Czech Republic, Laos (and Puerto Rico).

Over the past 29 years of ballooning, he and his wife Diana have had the pleasure of flying many different balloons in many different places, including Tony the Tiger (The Grrreat Tony Balloon) for Kellogg's, a 164' tall Select 55 beer bottle for Anheuser Busch and an Angry Bird. They own their own special shape balloon and have participated in the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta (the largest balloon festival in the world) every year since 1994.

In 1995, prior to their move from Indiana, they began Wanderlust Balloons and have been offering passenger flights in the Lake Havasu & Parker areas since 1996.

With two ride balloons capable of carrying groups of 2 or 4 passengers at a time, they pride themselves in their ability to offer a uniquely personal experience for each passenger.
